Resurfacing of the northernmost stretch of DuSable Lake Shore Drive will continue in the upcoming week, and the closures between Lawrence and Hollywood avenues will be even more extensive than before.
Here’s what’s changed:
— Sunday’s full lane closures will start at 3 p.m., not 9 p.m. as in prior weeks. The Bears and Cubs are both in action at home Sunday afternoon, so plan accordingly. Folks will be leaving Soldier Field and Wrigley Field at roughly the time the closures take effect.
— Partial closures will allow for just one lane of traffic; previously, two lanes remained open.
Here’s what’s stayed the same:
— Motorists can expect partial lane closures to begin at 7 p.m.; full lanes closures will run from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Sunday, as noted above, is the exception.)

SUNDAY, SEPT. 8 (northbound)
3 p.m. to 6 a.m.:
— All northbound lanes closed between Lawrence and Hollywood avenues.
— All northbound exit and entrance ramps between Lawrence and Hollywood will be closed, except ...
— Lawrence exit ramp will be open to allow traffic to detour.
MONDAY, SEPT. 9 (northbound and southbound)
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.:
— Only one lane open northbound and southbound between Lawrence and Hollywood avenues.
— All ramps will be open.
9 p.m. to 6 a.m.:
— All northbound and southbound lanes closed between Lawrence and Hollywood.
— All ramps closed except northbound Lawrence exit and southbound Lawrence entrance, to allow traffic to detour.
TUESDAY, SEPT. 10 (southbound)
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.:
— One southbound lane open between Lawrence and Hollywood avenues.
— All exit and entrance ramps will be open.
9 p.m. to 6 a.m.:
— All southbound lanes closed between Lawrence and Hollywood.
— All ramps closed except southbound Lawrence entrance, to allow traffic to detour.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11 (northbound)
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.:
— One northbound lane open between Lawrence and Hollywood avenues.
