Eighth Blackbird Takes Flight at Arts Club of Chicago
Over the past 20 years, Chicago’s Eighth Blackbird has earned a reputation for being an energetic ensemble of classical contemporary music.
This year they won a MacArthur Award and their fourth Grammy Award for the recording "Filament," released on the local label Cedille Records.
On Saturday, they perform a free public show at the Arts Club of Chicago, which celebrates its centennial with an open house from noon-5 p.m.
Members of Eighth Blackbird perform in our studio, and we'll have a discussion with Janine Mileaf of the Arts Club of Chicago and Nathalie Joachim of Eighth Blackbird.
