The gunman who opened fire at a suburban Chicago manufacturing plant in February told a co-worker the morning of the shooting that if he was fired he was going to kill every other employee and “blow police up,” according to a new report.

Autopsies on the five employees killed when a gunman opened fire in February at a suburban Chicago manufacturing plant have determined that all of them were shot more than once.

A 23-year-old ex-convict accused of pulling a cruel hoax by pretending to be long-missing Illinois boy Timmothy Pitzen was charged Friday with making false statements to authorities.

DNA tests disproved a teenager’s claim that he was an Illinois boy who disappeared eight years ago, the FBI said Thursday, dashing hopes that the baffling case had finally been solved.

The lawsuit was filed Wednesday by the family of Vincent Juarez, who was a forklift operator at Henry Pratt Co. in Aurora and was killed in the Feb. 15 attack.

Timothy Williams was shot three times during the Feb. 15 attack at a manufacturing facility in Aurora. He believes that attack would have been prevented if state police had “followed their internal protocols.”

Authorities have released the audio of 911 calls reporting the Feb. 15 shooting at the Henry Pratt Co. facility that resulted in five deaths.

Police say that of the people who received gun license revocations last year in Illinois, more than 75 percent ignored the notices.

The Henry Pratt Co. facility will be open to any employees who want to spend time with colleagues and counselors will be available, spokeswoman Yolanda Kokayi said.

A fundraiser started by City of Aurora officials has raised more than $72,000 in just two days to support the families of those who lost their lives in a shooting at a local manufacturing plant.

An initial background check failed to detect a felony conviction that should have barred the man who killed five co-workers and wounded six other people at a suburban Chicago manufacturing plant from buying the gun.
