Journalists Express Admiration for Elizabeth Brackett
Elizabeth Brackett began her journalism career when she was 34 years old, but she quickly became a consummate and respected professional.
Since news of her apparent bicycle accident was first reported last week, journalists from around Chicago and the nation have been expressing professional and personal admiration for Brackett, who died from those injuries Sunday.
We share memories of Brackett, a longtime “Chicago Tonight” host and correspondent, with four journalists who worked alongside her here at WTTW, a couple of them for nearly three decades. Joining us: retired “Chicago Tonight” correspondent Rich Samuels, along with Carol Marin, Phil Ponce and Paris Schutz.
