As President Barack Obama electrified a packed Wells Fargo Arena with his speech on the third night of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, things got even more exciting the moment he finished. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, the president's former secretary of state, made a surprise appearance to embrace him and walk off stage with President Obama.

Earlier in the night, speakers such as Vice President Joe Biden and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine made the case for Clinton as president, extolling her accomplishments and values, while also warning against a country led by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Despite Clinton's official nomination the previous day, Bernie Sanders supporters were still visible in Philadelphia earlier in the day. The groups Black Men for Bernie and Occupy DNC Convention held a rally near City Hall on Wednesday.

Clinton will speak at the DNC on Thursday, the final day of the convention.
