Rauner Signs Executive Order Aimed at Unions

In a severe blow to public employee unions in Illinois, Gov. Bruce Rauner signed an executive order allowing workers who choose not to join the union from paying what are called "fair share" fees to fund union activity. The move, if upheld, would essentially end the practice of forcing public employees to pay union dues if they don't want to. We will have more on the surprising move and the latest on a third way to solve the state's budget crisis - one that would stave off massive cuts and tax hikes.
