Chicagoans can now vote to name one of Chicago’s snowplows “Abolish ICE,” linking the pun to efforts to oppose President Donald Trump’s mass deportation campaign.

City officials received more than 13,300 submissions during the first phase of the fourth annual snowplow naming contest. Approximately 9,200 of those entries were for “Abolish ICE,” as first reported by Block Club Chicago

Mayor Brandon Johnson in December offered his “full and complete endorsement” of “Abolish ICE.”
