A Closer Look at Mayor Lightfoot’s Soldier Field Renovation Project


You could call it a Hail Mary, or rather, a Hail Lori attempt to keep the Bears from a possible move to Arlington Heights.

On Monday, Lightfoot and city officials unveiled proposals to put a roof on Soldier Field and thoroughly modernize the facility to meet the demands of today's NFL.

The improvements could cost upwards of $2 billion. This as the city has 10 years and $640 million dollars to go before paying of the 2002 rennovation of the stadium. 

Marc Ganis, president of sports business consuting firm Sports Corp, joined “Chicago Tonight” to discuss the Soldier Field proposal and the future of the Bears organization.
