Chicago Cites 11 Restaurants, Bars for Violating COVID-19 Restrictions

City inspectors cited 11 restaurants and bars violating the state-ordered ban on indoor dining and drinking designed to stop the spread of COVID-19, officials said.

Investigators with the city’s Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection conducted 105 investigations from Thursday through Sunday.

Investigators cited two unlicensed businesses, one in a commercial location at 1891 N. Milwaukee Ave. and another in a home at 2064 N. Damen Ave.

The businesses cited for allowing indoor dining and drinking were:

—Brigadoon, 5748 W. Lawrence Ave.

—Doc B’s, 55 E. Grand Ave.

—Exit, 1315 W. North Ave.

—Fox’s Beverly Pub, 9956 S. Western Ave.

—Guide’s Sports Club, 5544 S. Archer Ave.

—Joe’s Import, 813 W. Fulton Market

—Kabobi, 4748 N. Kedzie Ave.

—La Palapa, 2000 W. 34th St.

—McGee’s Tavern & Grille, 950 W. Webster Ave.

Since March, city inspectors have conducted 7,882 investigations and cited 395 businesses for violating COVID-19 regulations, while issuing warnings to 774 businesses, officials said.
