With Education Funding Reform Comes a Squeeze for Chicago Taxpayers
While relief is now in sight for school districts across Illinois, Chicago taxpayers will soon feel the squeeze.
The new education funding overhaul passed by the General Assembly this week allows the Chicago Board of Education to raise a property tax levy to cover pension debt.
