As artwork by a Chicago artist orbits the Earth aboard the International Space Station, a medley of professionals will explore how technology and artificial intelligence have shaped their industries.

About 15 speakers will lead “conversations and wake-up calls” this weekend as part of a three-day symposium at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

In honor of its 150th anniversary, the School of the Art Institute teamed up with the Art Institute for a show that highlights the many influential American artists who received instruction at the school and later became part of the permanent collection of what has been called the "world’s best museum.”
