2 People Killed in Weekend Shootings Across Chicago: Police

Two men were fatally shot in separate incidents over the weekend in Chicago.
According to Chicago Police Department data, 16 people were shot between Friday evening and Sunday night.
A 28-year-old man was fatally shot in the 2000 block of North Milwaukee Avenue at around 3:15 a.m. Sunday. He was found in a parking lot in that area, having been shot multiple times, and later died at a local hospital.
A 33-year-old man was killed following a shooting in the 8800 Block of South Burley Avenue just before 11 p.m. Sunday. Officers found the man after he was shot multiple times, and a preliminary investigation revealed a dark colored vehicle had fled from the scene after the incident. No one is currently in custody.
Two teens were injured in a shooting Saturday in the 6100 block of West Dickens Avenue. They were standing with a group of people just after 7:30 p.m. when someone in a dark colored sedan fired shots. A 19-year-old woman was struck in the arm and a 14-year-old boy suffered a graze wound to his foot. Both were hospitalized in fair condition.
A 17-year-old boy was shot and wounded at around 3 p.m. Sunday in the 6100 block of South Peoria Street. He was outside in that area when he heard a gunshot and felt pain. He was hospitalized in good condition with a gunshot wound to the arm.
