Gamblers were lined up at 8 a.m. Saturday to be among the first to play at Bally’s Chicago.
Illinois’ first casino opened in 1991, but until Saturday, Chicago did not have a piece of the action. The Bally’s location in River North is a temporary casino to be used until Bally’s completes an all-new complex on the nearby Chicago Tribune site.
