Reuse-a-Palooza at The Plant Is a Fest for Waste Reduction

Wine corks, old gym shoes and expired gift cards are just a few of the hard-to-recycle items that will be accepted at Sunday’s Reuse-a-Palooza at The Plant.

Along with accepting items like batteries, paint and electronics for donation (click here for complete list), experts will be on hand to share tips not only about recycling but re-using, re-purposing and reducing consumption.

“Our true goal is to expose people to alternatives for the items that they use,” said Sherry Skalko, co-founder of Reduce Waste Chicago, a participant in the event. 

Reuse-a-Palooza runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1400 W. 46th St.
