Reuse-a-Palooza Is Back With More Ways to Choose Repair, Recycle and Repurpose Over Waste
The Community Glue Workshop will be running a repair clinic at Sunday's Reuse-a-Palooza. (Community Glue Workshop / Facebook)
The semi-annual Reuse-a-Palooza at The Plant in Back of the Yards is happening Sunday, a one-stop shop for recycling, repairing and repurposing items that would otherwise go to waste.
Bring clothing in need of mending; bicycles, art supplies and tools to donate; Halloween costumes to swap; busted appliances in need of fixing — it’s a sustainability enthusiast’s dream.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1400 W. 46th St. and also includes opportunities to talk with experts about ways to reduce your environmental footprint.
For those interested in a tour of The Plant — a former industrial meatpacking facility — tickets for a 2 p.m. guided walk through the building on Sunday are on sale now.
The complete list of participating organizations and accepted items is available online.
