Two people fatally shot as they stood outside on a West Woodlawn porch Sunday were among nine victims killed by gunfire over the weekend in Chicago.
According to Chicago Police Department data, 63 people were shot in 47 separate shootings between 6 p.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. Sunday night.
A 25-year-old man was driving in the 2900 block of West Diversey Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning when someone inside a white Jeep fired shots, striking the man in the back. He drove himself to Ascension Saint Mary where he later died.
Police found a man dead inside an alley in the 1300 block of West 71st Place just before 8 p.m. Saturday. The victim had been shot multiple times and pronounced dead on scene.
One person was killed and another wounded following a shooting outside a home in the 200 block of East 113th Street. Police said the victims were standing on a porch just after 10:15 p.m. Saturday when two men approached and fired shots. A 32-year-old man died after being struck in the head and back, and a 27-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds.
An unidentified man was killed just before 1 a.m. Sunday morning as he stood outside with a large group in the 1200 block of South Plymouth Court. Police said someone opened fire, striking the victim in the face and chest. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Two people were shot as they sat inside a vehicle in the 3600 block of South Kedzie Avenue at around 2:45 a.m. Sunday. Someone inside a separate vehicle opened fire, fatally wounding an 18-year-old man. A 19-year-old man was hospitalized in good condition with a gunshot wound to his foot.
Police responding to a call of a person down just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday found an unidentified man lying in the 700 block of East 133rd Street. The victim had been shot multiple times and pronounced dead on scene.
A 20-year-old man was killed just before 3:30 a.m. after he was shot by someone inside an SUV. Police said the man was standing on the street in the 400 block of North Waller Avenue when someone fired shots, striking him in the abdomen. He was hospitalized in critical condition, and later died.

A 31-year-old man and a second victim died of their injuries, while two others were hospitalized.
