An end of summer celebration is coming soon to the West Side in Garfield Park, organizers say the new event is a chance to showcase their neighborhood.
On Sunday, Aug. 28, Swank PR will be hosting the “Purple Block Party” at the Garfield Park Music Circle Center.
Headliners include Jim Jones and Chicago’s Pivot Gang, Baha Banks and DJ Vic Lloyd. With a zone for kids just steps away from the adults, there’s something for everyone in the family, organizers say.
“It’s an opportunity for us to show the city what the West Side has to offer,” said Briahna Gatlin, founder of the local public relations group.
