Chicago police officials have released video of two suspects sought in connection with the killing of a 70-year-old woman early Monday on the city’s Far South Side.

Yvonne Ruzich was fatally shot just before 4:30 a.m. Monday as she sat inside her car in the 13300 block of South Baltimore Avenue. Surveillance footage published by the Chicago Police Department shows two armed men get out of another vehicle and approach Ruzich.

The video shows one of the men approach the driver’s side of Ruzich’s vehicle and begin firing into her car. Ruzich tries to drive in reverse to get away, but crashes into a nearby street sign.

Both suspects then approach Ruzich’s car with guns drawn, before one of them runs back to their own vehicle.

According to police, both suspects are Black males. One was seen wearing all black clothing and a black face mask, while the other was wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, light pants and black shoes with a light face mask.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Area 2 Detectives at 312-747-8271. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to www.cpdtip.com.
