‘Heart is a Shifting Sea’ an Intimate Portrait of Marriage in India
Soon after graduating college, journalist Elizabeth Flock moved to Mumbai and became a reporter for Forbes India magazine.
Short on money, she lived with local families and became fascinated by the attitude of Indians toward love and marriage.
Fast forward 10 years, and Flock has now turned that knowledge and intimate access to three Mumbai couples into a book: “The Heart is a Shifting Sea: Love and Marriage in Mumbai.”
Flock, a correspondent for “PBS NewsHour,” is based in Washington where she focuses on social issues and women’s issues at home and abroad.
