Interim schools chief Jesse Ruiz joins us to discuss the financial challenges facing the Chicago Public Schools.
A budget for schools released Monday has the district spending $500 million more than it has, which Clarice Berry, president of the Chicago Principals and Administrators Association, likened to writing a bad check and Jesse Sharkey of the Chicago Teachers Union called a "fantasy."
