Services for Cardinal Francis George

Cardinal Francis George died at his residence Friday after a long battle with cancer. The Archdiocese of Chicago announced services for Cardinal Francis George will be held this week at Holy Name Cathedral.

  • Tuesday, April 21 from 2:30 to 6:00 pm and 9:00 to 11:00 pm
  • Wednesday, April 22 from 7:00 to 9:30 am and 11:30 am to 6:30 pm
  • Wednesday April 22 from 9:00 pm until Thursday, April 23 at 7:30 am

On Thursday, April 23 at 7:30 am, a prayer service will be open to the public. A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 23 by ticket only. Immediately following the funeral mass, the Committal Service will be held at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
