One Summer Chicago
The city’s One Summer Chicago program put 30,000 young people to work this year, providing jobs in transportation, health care, business and more.
Mayor Brandon Johnson and city officials announced that 27,140 Chicagoans between the ages of 14-24 — an increase of about 2,400 people over last year — have signed up and begun employment and internship opportunities since the annual summer work program kicked off late last month.
Chicago teens and young adults now have until Monday to submit applications for any one of 32,000 summer employment opportunities.
