The water is already on at some Chicago Park District splash pads, just in time to provide relief from summer’s first heat wave.

Taste of Chicago will feature a total of 84 food vendors and 20 food trucks, officials said. Approximately 38% of the vendors are making their first appearance at the Taste of Chicago.

The summer film series runs most Tuesdays between June 30 and Aug. 18. All film screenings are free. This year’s lineup features crowd favorites and milestone anniversaries.

Lollapalooza takes place July 30–Aug. 2 in Grant Park. Charli xcx, Tate McRae, Lorde, Olivia Dean, John Summit, JENNIE, the Smashing Pumpkins and the xx are headlining this year, the festival announced.

The outdoor music festival in Highland Park runs from June to September. Festival tickets for this summer go on sale to the public April 23.

The Chicago House Music Festival and Conference will be held Aug. 21-24. Events are set to take place at Millennium Park and other areas of downtown. Events are free and open to the public.
