Chicago Blizzard of 1967: Part 1

The massive 2011 snowstorm has sparked comparisons to what many remember as the greatest storm of all: the famed blizzard of 1967.

It snowed for 29 straight hours starting Jan. 26, 1967.

When it was all over, Chicago had 23 inches of snow on the ground, and drifts of more than 6 feet. For the most part, the city came to a complete standstill.
