Forest Preserves Police Release Sketch of Suspect in LaBagh Woods Sexual Assault

Police are asking for information in the sexual assault of a woman at LaBagh Woods over the weekend. 

Forest Preserves of Cook County Police are investigating a sexual assault of a 29-year-old woman that occurred Saturday around 12:30 p.m. in a heavily wooded area of LaBagh Woods on the city’s Northwest Side, according to a news release. 

The woman was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital and released.

On Tuesday, forest preserves officials released a sketch of the suspect. He is described as a White male, about 6-feet tall with a long brown and blond beard that reaches to his chest. He was wearing a dark shirt, black beanie hat and a black jacket with a red stripe on the shoulder.

Since the attack, Forest Preserves Police along with officers from the Chicago Police Department and Cook County Sheriff’s Police have been canvassing the area. Car, ATV and bicycle patrols have also been increased.
