Chicago Bears Debut New Food Options Including Rome Odunze Dog, Carne Asada Fries and Bear Claw Pretzels

With a new quarterback and wide receiver looking to make a big impact on the field, the Chicago Bears are also touting new eating experiences in the stands.

Levy, the hospitality partner of the Bears, on Wednesday unveiled a menu of new foods that will be available this season at Soldier Field.

The new lineup offers an updated version of football food classics, including a Chicago dog with a Bears player’s personal twist.

“Our passion project for the menu was our Odunze Dog, which we had a lot of fun making,” says Ryan Craig, executive chef for Soldier Field.

The hot dog, which was made in partnership with new Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze features a jalapeno cheddar dog nestled on top of Italian beef, topped with hot giardiniera, cheese crumbles and Levy’s secret sauce.

“As for my favorite, I wouldn’t underestimate the bear claw pretzel,” Craig said. “It comes with a nice salt wash. I personally like it with the beer cheese, it’s fantastic.”

But the bear paw imagery won’t stop with soft pretzels, they’ll also be offering bear paw doughnuts and cookies.

Other menu items include a pork chopp’ed sandwich topped with bacon and relish, loaded carne asada waffle fries and crispy chicken tenders, in partnership with GG’s Chicken Shop. A tavern-style and other game day favorites also made the list.

The team will also offer gluten free and vegetarian options of their hamburgers and hot dogs in sections 143, 144 and throughout United Club levels.

And with a new menu also comes new signage for all off their food stands, and even some of the registers. Also new this year will be 60 automated self-checkout stations, as well as walk-up services and speed lanes, which the team says will serve folks three times faster than regular checkouts.

The Bears play their season opener Sunday, Sept. 9 at noon at Soldier Field against the Tennessee Titans.
