New State Health Director Starts Tenure with Challenges Around COVID-19, Monkeypox and Polio

COVID-19. Monkeypox. Polio. 

Those are just some of the public health challenges facing the new leader of the state’s public health department. 

Dr. Sameer Vohra took over the role as the department’s 20th director earlier this month, a post formerly held by Dr. Ngozi Ezike during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
