Fritz Kaegi to Face Nico Tsatsoulis in November Election

With just over 53% of the vote in Tuesday’s primary election Cook County Assessor Fritz Kaegi was able to fight off challenger Kari Steele, putting him one step closer to a second term in office. Come November he will go head-to-head against Libertarian candidate Nico Tsatsoulis.

Kaegi says his victory was a sign voter were happy with the reforms he’s implemented. “They saw that the interest of these big business owners was to bring favoritism back, have lower valuations on their buildings so they can stick homeowners and small businesses with their tax bills,” Kaegi says.
