The Chicago Police Department on Tuesday put out a community alert seeking information regarding shots fired early Sunday at the 24th District station in Rogers Park.

According to police, an unknown offender drove up to the building in the 6400 block of North Clark Street at around 10:21 a.m. Sunday and began firing a weapon toward the station before fleeing the scene. No officers were standing outside and no one was injured in the incident, but the station itself was struck “several times,” police said.
