So much for spring.
The Chicago region could see accumulation of up to 3 inches of snow Monday, along with nearly every other type of precipitation, according to a forecast from the National Weather Service.
A system carrying moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will hit the area late morning through early afternoon, bringing with it rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow. In some locations, the precipitation type will swing back and forth throughout the day.

Precip. will spread north today, falling as sleet w/ some freezing rain south in the A.M. and snow north in the aftn. Briefly high rates are possible, w/ most accums in 3 hours or less. These rates will result in potentially slush covered roads, especially bridges & overpasses. pic.twitter.com/jx00xXaERj
