From the onset, Gov. J.B. Pritzker was specific about what he wanted to have happen during his first year in office.
The General Assembly approved one of his major initiatives, a higher statewide minimum wage, early on.
His remaining “to do” list isn’t long, per se, but it is massive, in the sense that every major item on it is controversial:
• Legalizing sports betting
•Legalizing marijuana for recreational use
•A statewide public works program
•A graduated tax constitutional amendment, plus tax brackets
•An on-time, balanced budget
