A rare musical treat at Chicago's Lake View High School. Two classical music superstars pay students a visit and offer up some of their world-class artistry. We tell you why on Chicago Tonight at 7:00 pm.
Cellist Yo-Yo Ma and soprano Renée Fleming visited the school Monday morning as part of a Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera of Chicago initiative to promote citizen musicians.
Ma, Fleming and 100 high school chorus members, including some from Lake View, then dropped by the James R. Thompson Center, where they surprised lunchtime diners with an unannounced performance of choral and South African folk music.
