State Farm hits Illinois auto customers with yet another price hike. Suburban apartments are seeing some major investment gains. And a look at what’s on the road ahead for electric truck maker Rivian.

The opening trade of $106.75 gave Rivian a market value of about $91 billion, greater than that of Ford and General Motors. That’s noteworthy because Rivian has so far delivered about 150 of its electric pickup trucks to customers, mostly employees, whereas Ford and GM sell millions of cars globally each year.

There is a winner in the race to build the first consumer ready electric pickup truck, and it isn’t Tesla, Ford or General Motors. It’s Rivian. Who?

An electric vehicle maker is on tap to build 100,000 delivery vans for the e-commerce giant Amazon. The massive order is just part of a broader commitment, announced Thursday by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, to make his company greener.
