Debbie Halvorson has been outspoken against her opponent Jesse Jackson Jr., citing an Ethics Committee investigation and his efforts to build the long-awaited Peotone Airport. But Halvorson has spent only two years in Congress compared with Jackson Jr.'s 17, and she was ousted after only one term by a Republican.
