Candidate Statement
Hello, my name is Dr. Gordon J Kinzler. I am running to be your US representative for Illinois congressional district 6. I am a kidney transplant surgeon and a Colonel in the U.S. Army reserve.
As a physician, I have learned compassion, empathy and sensibility.
I joined the military out of a deep sense of duty and resolve. I entered this race because I am concerned that many in Congress are promoting a socialist agenda that is taking our nation down a dangerous path. I have a strong belief that the principles of our founding fathers will serve us best in our future.
I am a firm believer in free markets, less government, fewer regulations, lower taxes, a balanced budget, a strong military, and securing our borders.
If elected I’ll continue to fight Illinois political corruption from the national level, provide quality affordable healthcare with lower generic prescription drug prices, and protect our communities to keep our families safe.
Unlike my opponent, I am a team builder, not a divider. I believe all citizens deserve to live their lives free of persecution or ridicule, regardless of their gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or any other discriminatory grouping.
When I do a kidney transplant, I found that donor kidneys from any race or religion work in any recipient regardless of their race or religion.
Although we all have different skin tones, after making just a 1 mm incision through the skin we all look the same. Our blood is red, our fascia that holds us together is white, and our veins are blue.
This is the type of attitude we need to see, from our nation's leaders in Washington. When legislators come together and start working as a team, we are able to achieve much more than we ever imagined and improve the lives of every American.

Our Congress controlled by Democrats is going dangerously in a socialist direction
What is your vision for this office?
Serve the constituents as a citizen legislator not a career politician. Get the work of the people done and come up with solutions. Stop the constant investigations and infighting.
What do you think is the most pressing issue facing your constituents and how do you plan on addressing it?
Healthcare. I know how to make it high quality, affordable and available to all. I take care of patients everyday.
