The Beverly Art Walk is celebrating its 10th anniversary with 200 artists exhibiting work in studios, shops, bars, galleries and vacant storefronts throughout the neighborhood. Expect live music, artist demonstrations, dance performances and a youth art installation.

2. Screen
Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival returns with in-person and online screenings of 42 feature films and 12 short film programs. In all, 25 countries are represented at what is the world’s second-longest running LGBTQ+ film festival. The festivities kick off at Music Box Theatre, with additional screenings at Landmark’s Century Centre Cinema and Chicago Filmmakers Firehouse Cinema.

3. Applaud
Local talent is on display at Chicago Live!, which Navy Pier is billing as the Midwest’s largest free performing arts festival. Watch more than 80 artists and organizations perform across three stages. You’ll see everything from acting and improv to music and dance.

4. Delight
The 32nd annual Apple Fest promises a cornucopia of apple treats — from apple popcorn and caramel apples to hard apple cider and apple dumplings. Try your hand at apple bobbing or enter an apple pie-eating contest. A carnival, live music and a kid’s entertainment stage round it out.

5. Groove
Head to Shedd Aquarium this weekend for the final Shedd House Party. Explore the aquarium after hours while DJs spin house music at the 21+ event.
