In the pantheon of Chicago disc jockeys, Dick Biondi was a superstar.
He came to Chicago in 1960 to join an iconic lineup at WLS. Biondi left Chicago and came back a number of times, returning for good in the mid 1980s and staying on the air in some form or another for the better part of the next 30 years.
Biondi died last week at the age of 90. In 2003, he spoke with Bob Sirott on “Chicago Tonight” about a certain band from Liverpool.
