Find inspiration in stories about architecture, fashion and design at the Architecture & Design Film Festival, which returns to Chicago for the first time in more than six years. Catch international films on innovation and sustainability at the Chicago Architecture Center.

2. Sip

Sample beer, mead and cider from 15 Northwest Side breweries at Northwest Brewfest. Visitors receive a 5-oz glass that can be used for unlimited pours during the two-hour session.

3. Reflect

Usher in Black History Month with the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic as it plays the Emmy Award-winning score to “DuSable to Obama: Chicago’s Black Metropolis.” The music moves from ragtime rhythms to modal jazz experiments as the show takes viewers through Chicago’s rich Black history.

4. Swap

Bring a puzzle, take a puzzle at the Great Andersonville Puzzle Exchange. The fan-favorite event returns as part of the neighborhood’s three-day Fika Fest, which encourages connection during cold winter months.

5. Behold

View prints from more than 100 artists from across the globe at the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative 33rd annual Small Print Show, which just got an extended run. See something you love? Prints are for sale; the exhibit evolves as artwork is purchased and replenished.
