Some of the earliest snapshots of American history will be on display this weekend at the Daguerreian Society's annual symposium.
The group is committed to the celebration and preservation of one of the oldest forms of photography, known as a daguerreotype.
The society will host a photo fair open to the public on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Empire Ballroom of Chicago's Palmer House Hotel.
