Movie lovers, get your popcorn ready.
The 91st Academy Awards ceremony takes place Sunday night, and while the nominations for Best Picture and other categories are getting some buzz, the main spotlight might instead be shining on something else: the new look of the ceremony itself.
Among the changes are a cap to the length of the ceremony at three hours. To help make that possible, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced last week that it will present four of the 24 categories during commercial breaks. Those categories include cinematography, film editing, live-action short and makeup and styling.
The change prompted criticism when it was first announced last summer.
