The city will need to raise donation dollars fast to contribute to the price tag of the NATO summit. Anne Olaimey, longtime fundraiser for Mayor Emanuel, and John Bryan, former Sarah Lee CEO, were handpicked by the mayor to head the fundraising committee. Bryan and Olaimey are responsible for raising money from the business community to cover summit costs. The city's host committee raised $36.5 million from private companies, including Boeing Co. and Pepsi. Combined with $19 million in federal grants, the donations should be enough to cover all of the summit's costs, officials said.
