We take on the contentious race in the 2nd Congressional District. Candidate Debbie Halvorson joins us to talk about the campaign and the issues on Chicago Tonight at 7:00 pm.

Halvorson is facing incumbent Jesse Jackson, Jr. in the primary.  Congressman Jackson had agreed to appear on our candidate forum with Ms. Halvorson, but his campaign informed us on Monday that he could not make it because he had to attend a funeral.

Republicans James Taylor and Brian Woodworth are on the Republican primary ballot in the same district.

The newly redrawn 2nd District covers a majority of the South Side of Chicago, and extends as far south as Kankakee, and as far east as the Indiana border.
