Rep. Dold was first elected in 2010. He now lives in the newly redrawn 9th District, but is running for reelection in the 10th District, which is located in the northeast corner of the state. It mostly comprises northern, wealthier suburbs. It was previously a predominantly Republican district, but has been redrawn to be Democratic. Aloys Rutagwibira was removed from the ballot because he did not obtain enough valid signatures, the Daily Herald reports.
