The newly redrawn 11th District now includes the Democratic-leaning areas of Aurora and Joliet. Current 11th District Rep. Adam Kinzinger has decided to run for relection in the 16th District. Judy Biggert, who has been representing the 13th District since 1999, is running to represent the newly redrawn 11th District. The Illinois State Board of Elections removed Jack Cunningham and Diane Harris from the ballot on February 2. A Cook County circuit court judge reversed the Illinois State Board of election's previous decision, the Daily Herald reports. But Cunningham was again removed from the ballot as of March 14, and Biggert is again running unopposed in the Republican party. |
