In May 2008, two members of the Chicago Tonight family were inducted into the prestigious Silver Circle of the Chicago chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (the Emmy people). The Silver Circle honors outstanding individuals who have devoted a quarter of a century or more to the television industry and have made a significant contribution to Chicago broadcasting.
