Jane Goodall Speaks on Her Legacy in 2010 ‘Chicago Tonight’ Interview
Jane Goodall, the groundbreaking scientist and humanitarian famous for studying wild chimpanzees in East Africa has died at age 91.
Goodall gained fame for her revolutionary contributions to understanding the behavior of the chimpanzees in ways no scientist had previously chronicled. She helped pave the way for countless women scientists, as well as raise awareness about the importance of conservation.
The Jane Goodall Institute announced her death Wednesday morning. Reports say that Goodall was in California as part of a speaking tour of the U.S.
In 2010, Goodall visited “Chicago Tonight” and spoke with Carol Marin about her work, and her legacy.
