Chicago officials say they haven’t received any communication about the possible deployment of National Guard troops and a surge of immigration agents in the city.

Gov. JB Pritzker says troops on the ground isn’t about crime, but an intimidation tactic being deployed close to midterms.

The Trump administration also takes aim at cashless bail policies, threatening to withhold funding to states that have eliminated cash bail.
