Week in Review: Harris Accepts Historic Nomination; Kinzinger Torches Trump


She says she’s been underestimated at every turn, but in accepting Democrats’ nomination for president right here in Chicago, Vice President Kamala Harris says she’s ready to fight for America’s future.

Sharing her life story and promising a new path forward, Harris eviscerated her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump.

Harris also had unlikely help, including from Republicans as former U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois) torches Trump saying he has suffocated the soul of the GOP and is a threat to democracy.

Now the balloons have dropped, the party’s over and the city returns to normal, but the race for the White House will only intensify.
