NU Women's Lacrosse Team Wins 7th NCAA Title


Northwestern University athletics has another national champion. The Northwestern Women's Lacrosse team won its 7th NCAA championship in eight years on May 27. The second-seeded Wildcats overcame an early deficit to defeat Syracuse 8 to 6 at the finals in Stony Brook, New York. Northwestern Senior Shannon Smith was named the tournament's most valuable player.
