Candidate Q&A

Why are you running?

Inflation is causing significant price increases at the grocery store, gas prices are soaring, fixed incomes aren't rising and wages aren't keeping up with the rising costs and people in Illinois are reaching a breaking point. Add rampant crime and government officials who want to defund the police and you have a majority of citizens who have said 'enough.'

What does this office do well, and what needs fixing?

I couldn't tell you what his office has done based on interviews with voters in the 5th District. We need someone who is willing to step up and fight for voters in the 5th District who are struggling financially and fear for their safety.

What is the most pressing issue facing your constituents and how do you plan on addressing it?

Inflation — we have to get the Keystone pipeline reopened, as well as the two large gas leaseholds that we just shut down. We need to be fuel independent and bring the price of transportation down that is driving the cost of everything in our lives up. Families are struggling to make it. I will also work to repeal the bill that just passed so that 87,000 armed IRS agents can't come after you.

What specific steps would you take to ensure your office is accessible and responsive to your constituents?

Being present and having an attentive, caring staff who genuinely want to listen to the needs of the constituents. I will always be available by phone, email or in person to listing to the concerns of those in the 5th District. I want to be out amongst my voters keeping them informed and engaged.
